Christmas Lists

My kid were unusually industrious this afternoon. No they weren't doing their homework. They were hard at work compiling their Christmas lists. I found their requests to be quite entertaining, especially Brynne's. I'll start with Barrett's list.

Dear Santa,

I've been good this year. Here are the things I want

Does anyone else see a theme here? He also will only wear his Star Wars, Iron Man and How to Train Your Dragon t-shirts to school. His Spiderman, Batman and Lightning McQueen t-shirts are all languishing in his dresser. Even if his nut allergy wasn't an issue I don't think I could send him to Brynne's charter school next year because they don't allow shirts with logos or graphics!

Blythe

Notice how Blythe has dispensed with Santa entirely. I've already gotten all of Barrett's presents and I anticipated his wants accurately. I've got one of the items on Brynne's list already and there's no way she's getting most of the rest of the things she's requested, especially all the living ones. Blythe got a sticker machine for Christmas a few years ago and it hasn't seen much use. I really don't think we need two of them. I do have a few other gifts for Brynne that did not make her list, hopefully she'll be happy with them anyway. I picked up one of Blythe's requests today, before she made up her list. Score! She's definitely getting to be the hardest one to shop for. She's out of luck on the ipod touch. We're working on finishing the basement, so she can have her own room, but it's not going to be ready for Christmas, at least not THIS Christmas!
