An Especially Toothsome Creamie

We are having a beautiful Indian Summer, so although it was 36 degrees this morning, by the afternoon our thermometer registered a 50 degree increase to 86 degrees! Barrett was of course in the mood for some ice cream. Lately, he has not been eating the dessert I pack in his school lunch, so that he can have a popsicle or ice cream bar when he gets home. So today his frozen treat of choice was a chocolate covered mint Creamie. As he was eating his Creamie he was complaining that it was making his loose tooth hurt. I told him that I once lost a tooth by biting into a piece of broccoli. The next thing I knew he had a shocked look on his face and a gaping hole in his mouth. Brynne and I didn't see his tooth any where and told him he must have swallowed it. His face crumpled and he asked in a quavering voice, "But Mommy, what about the tooth fairy?" I assured him that we could write the tooth fairy a note and he quickly regained his composure.

While I ran upstairs to grab the camera, Brynne decided to take a closer look at Barrett's Creamie and guess what she found . . . .

THE MISSING TOOTH!

Barrett was very happy that he would actually
have a tooth to put under his pillow.
He told me he was glad he didn't lose his
tooth while he was at school today.

Next he had to call Daddy to tell him
that he finally lost his first tooth.

His new look.
