Brynne was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday May 17, 2009 by her dad Justin Petty. She was one of five children to be baptized in our stake that day and was the only girl. She wore the same white dress that I wore when I was baptized in 1982 that my Mom sewed for me. This dress has also been worn by my sister Jessica, several of my cousins, and Blythe.

Our whole family.
Brynne had the support of lots of friends and family. There were over 60 people there to witness her baptism and confirmation. Justin's parents even made the trip down from Seattle for the event. We had everyone come over for an open house afterwards. Brittney decorated a two-tier birthday cake for Brynne that I had baked. She designed it to match a figurine of a girl that Brynne's great-grandma Kaye Barrett gave to her for Christmas last year. It turned out stunning.

I asked Peter to take photos for me during the open house and he took a grand total of ONE photo for me, which was the one of Diana. I wish I'd gotten pictures of more of the people who were there celebrating with us. It was a perfect day!
