So in case anyone's noticed, I haven't been keeping up with my blog lately. Unfortunately, it's only one of the many things I've been neglecting lately including my children, housework, my husband, exercise, showering, eating meals on time, etc. So what's been consuming all of my time? These people . . .

Walter Pratt Rich and Laura Moriart Rich

Five of Walter and Laura's eight children.

Ethel Ione Seaman

Arthur Herbert Rich Sr.
I have been bitten by the family history bug and for the past two weeks I have been living, breathing and sleeping family history. I have been researching my Mom's family. I joined Ancestry.com and cannot say enough good things about how helpful that site has been. It is amazing how it finds relevant historical information for you on the people you are searching for. The church's family history website familysearch.org has also been very helpful. They have a new pilot program of online records such as Michigan Births 1867-1902 or Ohio Deaths 1908-1953. They are so easy to search and you can even view the original image. I've been able to add so many more people to my family tree in the past two weeks that I am simply amazed.
I've had to take a bit of a break this week because I've had too many other things going on like planning Barrett's preschool class' Easter party and swim team tryouts for the girls. (They both made the pre-comp team by the way). Justin keeps telling me to remember "moderation in all things." I'm going to try to not let genealogy completely rule my life, while still finding some time to hunt down my more elusive ancestors. However, be warned it's completely addicting!
