Luckily, one of the other preschool Moms was taking pictures of all the kids with their parent who dropped them off in order to post on one of the bulletin boards outside the classroom to make it easier for everyone to figure out which child belongs to which parent. (Sorry about the major run-on sentence.) Anyway, I asked the Mom with the camera to please email the photo to me in an attempt to atone for my lameness. It's too bad you can't see his new Spiderman t-shirt he was wearing. Poor Lightning McQueen. Barrett only wears his Cars shirts now if all his Spiderman ones are in the wash.
Last year I was caught off-guard on the first day of school and was in my workout clothes, unshowered and wearing no make-up. This year I made sure I looked presentable, even if it meant Barrett was 15 minutes late on his first day.

I've just given up on first day of school pictures altogether and have none this year of any child. At least it's fair, right?
