Another fun thing that happened this summer is that my Granddad came out to Utah for an extended visit. He drove out from Pennsylvania with my cousin Julia and they stayed for about three weeks. The last few times I'd seen him I had traveled to Pennsylvania, so it was nice to have him see where I live and to be able to spend a little more time with my kids.

We were able to celebrate his 86th birthday
with a big family party at my Uncle Steve's
house in Lindon. My Aunt Sheryl made
apple mince pie for him at his request.

able to attend Granddad's birthday party.
