On New Year's Eve I hosted a sledding party for the Chudleigh extended family. We are fortunate to have a great sledding hill in our backyard. I love it because I can watch the kids sled out of my kitchen windows. I do enjoy sledding myself from time to time, but not as often as kids do. I didn't get out to sled on New Year's Eve because I was busy in the kitchen making white bean turkey chili, chili, cornbread, pumpkin pie cake and pineapple upside-down cake. I didn't have to provide the entire meal. My Mom made minestrone soup, my Aunt Sheryl made a potato soup, Brittney brought a veggie platter and homemade hand held pies in four different flavors. My Uncle Steve and Aunt Lisa came up from Lindon with my four cousins. Alyssa (19) and Diana (16) thought they were too old to sled, but Clayton (13) and Ethan (6) had a great time outside with Justin, my kids, Hannah, James, Nathan and my sister Jessica. Thanks go to Jess for the all the photos. Everyone had a great time visiting, eating and sledding.
