Brynne turns Seven!

Brynne had her 7th birthday last week and we celebrated twice.  On her actual birthday she took some fancy pencils to school to give to her classmates.  (Her school is a peanut free school and has a fairly strict policy about no treats for birthdays.)  I made her favorite dinner, which is Chicken Poppy casserole.  That morning before she left for school I asked her what she wanted for dinner and she said, "Mooommmmy, you know!!"  I did, but I thought I'd double check just in case.  My parents came over and ate dinner with us.  I made a chocolate sheet cake with sunbutter frosting.  It's supposed to be peanut butter frosting, but I substituted sunflower seed butter instead.  Justin was pretty shocked at how closely it resembled peanut butter frosting. It was a good cake!  So we did the usual song, cake and presents.  Here are some photos from that evening.

that when I make a cake I'm going for taste, not looks.
